SO why do so many rally cars use the single wiper blade in the center of the windshield? I mean, what's the benefit? Is it to save a little power or 3lbs of weight, or what? LOL. It seems like normal wipers would be able to finish their arc quicker since they have less degrees to go through. But I guess there's always the danger of hitting branches or something and having the two blades get caught together...I dunno. Or do All Escorts only have just one blade and I just never noticed?

the motor for the single blade works alot faster. But yes, an escort should have 2.
