Twelve hours of the (almost) shortest day of the year compressed into a time-lapse movie 24 seconds long, taken from my front window at my cabin in Fairbanks, Alaska

  • We get not quite 4 hours of sunlight at the winter solstice and the sun is maybe 2° above the horizon on the shortest day of the year.

  • During the shortest winter days in December and January, how many hours of light do you get per day?

The sun really doesn't rise above the horizon much in winter does it?

    Great video btw.

  • No. Fairbanks is about 100 miles or so south of the Arctic Circle.

  • Do you live north of the arctic circle
