The old Foot ball stadium should be torn down to make a semi footbal hockey stadium with a giant car parking building with it.

honestly this looks bad! Appreciate the effort Gene Dub but it is ugly.
We are not only pulling revenue from hockey fans and all venues surrounding this but opportunity to welcome tourists with awe and hold open air concerts if retracting roof is considered. Concerts regardless. Applications for future sporting events to the province must be considered as well. Winter games, common wealth games, olympic etc. back to the drawing board and I would like to see this become a contest of design.

what the hell is this? A giant noodle bowl, or maybe a picnic basket? Be better suited to be built in china town . At least people wouldnt' look at it and say..."why the hell is here this huge noodle bowl in the ...oh yeah thats the arena. Never mind my bad"

I also attend many of the events that go on here, many of which just don't do as well as elsewhere.

certainly doesn't make it cosmopolitan. Beautiful yes, more cosmopolitan, a definite no. and more things to do well, yes free things. Walking along the ocean, hiking etc. But as for attendance to cultural events it's no better and in many ways not as evolved. We'll just have to disagree I guess. But that's my opinion. I live here because i like the natural beauty. However I do go back to both Calgary and Edmonton to take in a number of their big events.

I'm well aware you were bashing Calgary. However I have lived in all three cities and I would say aside from Vancouver's natural beauty it has little if anything over the other two. Vancouver has natural beauty, but that
I lived in Calgary. It has to have the ugliest and most unnatural colour of brick ever imagined on its buildings. Just the thought of it gives me nightmares. The rest of the town is a wasteland of cookie cutter houses and big box stores that extend forever on a lifeless plain devoid of trees. The only thing Calgary has over a place like Saskatchewan is smaller insects and more money. At best its a tribute to Ontarian suburbia. Its certainly not a cosmopolitan city like Vancouver or Montreal.
