Update Pinon Hills Fire

Here is the leading edge of the fire devastation from 08 27 2011...it came right up to the property line of at least one homeowner, I was not able to get further back today, still firefighters out there doing an awesome job, still hot spots, choppers dropping water and a spotter plane surveying the area.

25 acers??? What it was up to 330 by 9pm last night

@xAaron93 KTLA bro. They had that story and made it sound like it was a very minor fire...I was out there today and there were at least 10 homes within 50 yards of the blaze...they never said anything about that, very disappointed with them, they also said no evacuation orders were given, which is true sort of, we all had the CHP knocking at our doors to tell us evac was imminent.

@xAaron93 absolutely, that fire is huge and has killed animals and destroyed property, but, this fire was 100 yards from my house so it was definitely an eye opener.

yeah this one is crazy, we are used to unusual stuff living in the outback but when it goes from miles to yards...that gets a little too close.

I'm so glad nobody got hurt and it didn't touch the houses. Praise god and the firefighters. Just moved here from upland and theres been quite a few fires in the last 2 months but it's beautiful up here. Kinda reminds me of Arizona.

Wow scary we had really bad fire lately some of which got close to the town I live near.

All were withing 20 or so miles with wind that is not much warning.

Props to the fireman brave men doing their duty.
