A derecho/straight line wind event on the afternoon of June 8, 2008 caused a tornado which touched down west of Lansing, MI and tracked east into the City of Lansing. This video was taken from the destruction from that tornado. The beginning was of the Shelf Cloud as it rolled over head about 1.5 miles south of the Tornado Touchdown.

I remember that storm distinctly, and it came too close to my apartment.

That tornado did a lot of damage in Grand Ledge, from the high school east towards Nixon. I spent three days helping neighbors cut trees and clean up in our subdivision alone. We were surprised by the damage around the high school/St. Mike's.

You're right. I nearly rated myself a -1. It's an RSH-10. Thanks Siren1000T1

Lansing doesn't have any 2001s.

Hmm that Tornado Siren sounds like a Federal Signal RSH-10 in Attack Signal. I know Delta Twp has a system of those but they seem to run in Alert Signal for monthly tests.
