Offical Plot:
At an Antarctica research site, the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson. While Dr. Halvorson keeps to his research, Kate partners with Sam Carter, a helicopter pilot, to pursue the alien life form.

    I just can't see how you could possibly go out there at night in the dead of WINTER without anything covering your head and not get fucked up!

    How could those two Americans crash a helicopter into the icy-cold mountains and still actually manage to make it back alive in one piece without any serious/fatal injuries?

    OK for a remake, 2 much borrowing fr. Alien,e.g crab monsters & silly,girl versus alien battle, but prequel concept & subtitles elevate it above other remakes like Halloween ( damning it with faint praise ) low key performance fr. lead actress, half expected some wisecracking Legally Blonde type "Oscar winner" running amuck, prompting audience calls to activate flame throwers.and put her out of her misery.1982 version was all special effects,& Kurt Russell is more convincing selling USED CARS.
