E DOCTOR RADIO is the first health radio of Bangladesh, with programs covering health news, talk shows and different varieties of songs including rock, country, Top 40, classic hits, and urban formats. Background
e Doctor embarked on radio project in 2010 following a situation analysis which established that the people of our country often lag behind in matters of development due to limited access in health issues and lack of basic health information.

In Bangladesh, radio is relatively the most affordable and powerful medium of communication. Specially, Online Radio, unlike other medium cuts across the geographical barrier.

Recent years have seen a tremendous growth in the radio industry with the country boasting of over 10 radio stations.

Despite these achievements, people of our country are still lagging behind in accessing health information through radio. Most radios cover health issues only when disaster, accidents strike them or when they have done bizarre or weird things.

Justification
Radio is the most affordable convenient powerful medium of influence and information for the common people. It also plays an important role in the overall development process of the country. e Doctor Radio is therefore set up to provide health related information more interactively towards the people of our country in order to create awareness about health so that they can take preventives measures before time if anything to be broken out in epidemic form. Because health is wealth. So, health is the stepping stone to development .

Mission
e Doctor Radio is responsible to make a great contribution towards the society by providing health services and insuring youth participation in the process of creating awareness of the people about health hazards & diseases.

Vision
e Doctor Radio wants the concern and voices of the doctors & youth of the society to take center stage in the Bangladesh mass media, for a fair and just world.

Administration
The station is run by a qualified, energetic team of producers and presenters headed by a Program Director. It is assisted by a radio committee comprising volunteer members from e Doctor.

Future Plans
The station intends to boost transmission through FM frequency. It is hoped that development partners will enable e Doctor Radio fulfill this dream.
