Blake Shelton - God Gave Me You (COVER) By Drew Dawson Davis

First off, My best wishes go out to Blake and Miranda on their marriage together. I wish you both the best in the years to come. After reading the back story of this song and how Blake heard it on Christian radio one day while driving around and knew immediately that he had to sing it, I totally knew what he meant. I felt the same way. I also heard he used this song to propose to Miranda. With the kind of character I've seen and heard from him lately, I have a strong feeling they'll be together for a very long time.

It's funny how I'm being pulled towards songs that have some relation to God, praying, or something to do with a bigger picture in life these days. Sometimes I just look up and say "ok Lord...I get it! You want me to sing inspirational songs with a deep meaning so people who hear them are more than just entertained....but blessed with a message of hope or healing." So this is another one I knew I had to do when I heard it. I really don't think about what I'm going to sing when the time comes....I just pick the songs that seem to fall into my lap...and these kind are the ones that seem to just fit these days. When you've seen what I've seen in the last year or so, you just don't believe in co incidence anymore...and the music that seems to fall into my lap is no exception. It's a rad experience though. The bible says "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks...and you could just as easily put.."sings" there...and perhaps that's why the music has headed in this direction.

@chevronchris26 VERY cool of you to say! I'm always thinking to myself "what can I do to be a blessing to others?". Music is a powerful tool,..for good & bad. I want to be the guy who can look back at his life and know he used whatever talents he possessed to bless others in a dynamic and flowing way. If I didn't have the ability to bless others with music...I'd find something else I was great at that affected others in an awesome way & double down there...cause that's what it's all about!
