#14 Seoul Metro's Golden Line 9 on DiscoveringKorea.com

Seoul's massive metropolitan rail system - the world's third most used, with some 2 billion annual rides - has inaugurated it's newest line, number 9. The new line, also called the Gold Line, features 25.5 kilometers of track connecting 25 stations on the south bank of the Han River. Stations include powder rooms, in addition to performance halls, galleries, exhibition spaces, Internet cafes and 113 convenience stores.

@asian897 I'm a New Yorker. The NYC subway is shitty, especially compared to Seoul. You can never have nice things in the NYC subway. These subway cars would be vandalized.

@dicf21 yea right. can you use your bank debit card to scan for metro/bus fare? no. do you guys have tons of lines going to a lot of different cities making it accessible? no. do you guys have the metro go to different universities and colleges all over the capital? nope. is it cheap? probably not as cheap as ppl want to afford it. I doubt you guys have screen doors for safety either.

@asian897 They wash the floor and the wall everyday with detergent. I don't know how many times a day, but you could often see the cleaners if you visit Seoul Metro.

Wow, that's intense. I think that it's great that they employ senior citizens to do those kinds of things because it gives them something to do<no offense to them or anything and I'm not meaning to say that they don't do anything...
