  • This may be an arrangement of a madrigal piece, but I was under the assumption that the madrigal style was more polyphonic than this. What makes this 16th century?

  • It is definately not true madrigal. I think it was written in the 70s or 80s (of the 20th century). The king's singers are the ones who originally did the song, and it is probably their biggest hit.

  • Yea it's not a madrigal at all. We do contemporary pieces as well.

  • It's actually not 16th century. It's completely contemporary. My director often throws in contemporary pieces for us.
