The Hobbit novel was published back in 1937 (LOTR in 1954). This song was copyright in 1997, but wasn't released until March 2005. The LOTR movie in 2001. Seeing this ancient music video made me curious as to how old this song was, especially in relations to the LOTR/Hobbit franchise, and thought I'd share my findings for other inquiring minds. I wasn't aware the story had been written so long ago!
