Oct 2005
It's every parent's worst nightmare. One moment their child is perfectly healthy. The next, they've stopped breathing and are turning blue. For many children, the merest hint of nut is all it takes to send them into anaphylactic shock. Food allergies are on the increase and the number of children affected has more than doubled in the past ten years. Yet simple precautions could significantly cut the death rate. This week's documentary, 'When Food Kills' is a wake up call to the rising danger of food allergies.

genetically engineered (ge/gmo) food is the cause of all modern diseases, obesity & deadly condition. i developed corn & soy allergy. i'm shocked to learn that almost each & every thing we get at supermarket & pharmacy has some gmo derivative.

Roaches ,Not in this country,LOL Ive eaten meal worms better for you than a roach.I grow my own food source and i really do not like modified foods. It is unnecessary and people are just getting more lazy with all theses preservatives in our food and no nutrition.Less chemical and more pure natural is what i try to live by.

Actually no they wouldn't. unless it was truly safe for human consumption. by the way, cockroaches, crickets, maggots and the like are consumed as a quick and easy protein food source in other countries. I happen to like fried cockroaches, you should try it.

it's the splicing and shrinking genepool of human kind, we're interbreeding and crossbreeding so much it's mucking up our genetics with all kinds of mutations. the chemicals used are USDA safe, that's good enough for me. and what else would we get if we prepare the food properly? some people don't know how to eat it seems.

pfft, you're just as stupid. you don't have to eat organic, just cook the damn food, it'll destroy whatever chemicals you're worried about. two: chemical farming as you put it is used world wide, whether you like it or not, if you buy organic from the grocery store, chances are it was raised beside those so called chemical corporate farming facilities so you're still eating pesticides. Monsanto is not nearly as bad as you make it seem, though the oil spill from BP was pretty bad.

obesity is caused from overeating, i'm certainly not blaming food for making me gain weight, i ate myself fat i doubt it's the cause of all modern diseases. the common cold, flu, small pox, chicken pox, and the list goes on, have been around since mideival times, deadly conditions can range from weather to wild animal attacks to falling from a cliff for climbing without proper know how, i can't believe you've gotten so many thumbs up for this.
