@OldSaltNavy It's hard to be in a LE career and not get a bit "tarnished" from what you have to deal with day in and day out, year after year. Thank you for your service, but in the Navy and as a LEO, glad you're doing well. God bless.

I spent 21 years as a Military Policeman in the Royal Canadian Navy and 13 years with the RCMP. I finally had to get out because the constant exposure to violence, crime, deceit, and human suffering was starting to warp my soul. At last, I am able to listen to this hymn and feel what it means to finally be at peace.

2 weeks! Come on , a sad and strangely uplifting story, yes , by all means, but 2 weeks, there must be more hits than this ! Beautiful rendering of the hymn.

This week a very lovely young girl from church here in RJ was raped and killed when she came back from a very special meeting with Elder D. Todd Christofferson, that was a shock and I asked why could such tragedy happen with a so lovely girl.
Today in her funeral, when the missionaries sang this marvelous and peaceful hymn I could understand that even when it is difficult to understand such things in some moments of our lives, everything will be ok in the end, if we trust in Heavenly Father.
