    CHANGE THE INCENTIVE STRUCTURE?!

    YES!! Pretty Good Idea, Dan.

But it won't help to try and fix incentive structures within the fucked up market system...

The market-machine is not malfunctioning, Dan... it works fine. The market-machine is the essential problem and has to be replaced.

That's not necessarily true, the people who are at the top are at the top due to the fact that they worked to get up there or their family worked to get the next generation higher. You say that do nothing to earn money but really that is ignorance on your part, maybe a little jealousy also, but we should not blame those who are on top. It's is us who are on the bottom who feed off their money in the first place, we work for those richer than us hoping that one day we can be like them.

problem is lies are just lies until the truth comes out. Fact of the matter is that lies tend to keep order as it hides the truth that causes disorder. We lie due to the fact that we all make mistakes and its automatic for us to defend our psyche true lies as revealing the truth of your mistake is anxiety provoking, which activates our defense mechanisms to protect our self image. its not that lies are bad, its that truth contains the bad and lies are barriers from the truth.

Problem is capitalism is one short step from monopoly where you want to have it all and it doesn't matter who you take it from, the other end of the extreme is communism, hence the conflict between countries who practice either side. If you were to read what communism really is it really isn't all that bad, but what makes it bad is when they have a monopolizing leader. The community which shares all, but then has to share to the leader who doesnt share back, hence it becomes obsolete to practice

So you should have to pay to sing your national anthem? You didn't write that.

It is no different with other music. Songs you listen to, or sing to, become part of your life. That is why you will always like the crappy music that was popular when you first started getting laid.

Before the invention of radio people wrote songs in books. They did that so people could sing them themselves without paying the author any rights. Radio took music away from people and the internet brought it back.

I don't agree. Capitalism might be bad, but it's better than every other system that a has been tried in all of history. Of course, financial regulations are necessary, but it's the monetary incentives that make capitalism meet the needs of people. If there is demand, someone will have an incentive to create supply to meet the demand.

Of course, not all demands are good for society. Most such things are already illegal. But the financial incentive is necessary for the legal things.

Once you realize there is no real benefit to dishonesty, the problem solves itself. However, that is based on a higher value system.

Oh, right! Well of course I see where he's coming from and I agree, although I think it's quite obvious to any thinking person. But, that example I feel undermined him.
