Shamelessly Jan Garbarek / Eberhard Weber / personal visits to Bergen-influenced piece, entirely created using fretless bass guitar and electric upright bass (including the delay-looped, harmonics-and-percussive noises, 'frippertronics-lite' backing track). As on "Wood, Water, Stone", each part was performed in a single, complete take to maintain some semblance of 'live' performance.

Accompanying the music is a montage of my own photographs taken on Fløyen and Ulriken, two picturesquely-wintry hills within easy walking distance of the town, complete with far too many Ken Burns-style 'pan-and-zoom until you're dizzy' effects.

Many thanks to Anne for invaluable assistance correcting my poor efforts in Norwegian, and so much else besides.

Hope you like it.

  • What do you mean "trilogy"? I've got loads of panoramic pics of Fife, Northumberland, etc, etc.

This could become an unhealthy obsession :-)

  • Lovely Nordic vistas and very nice noodling. All you need to do now is compose a tune to go with your plethora of Bergen views and the Trilogy is complete.
