Amiro Z, the alternative for thoroughbred blood!
Zangersheide is proud and happy to have found in Amiro Z a stallion that fulfils everything you can wish for. A breeder who wants sound blood and no unpleasant surprises can not pass Amiro Z over.
The contribution of thoroughbred blood is crucial for the breeding of warmbloods for the sport at top level. Unfortunately, it is getting more difficult to find thoroughbred stallions that still show sufficient riding horse qualities. In answer to this, Studfarm Zangersheide fetched the half-blood stallion Amiro Z to Lanaken. His sire Amigo Toss xx is an Argentinean thoroughbred which descends in a direct line from the dam of the famous stallion Le Sancy xx, who we know as foundation sire of Ramzes and Zeus. Amiros dam Renommee Z started in the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, under Ricardo Kierkegaard. The show jumping horse of the century Ratina Z is no-one less than a full sister of Renommee Z. Under Piet Raymakers and Ludger Beerbaum this wonder mare won the World Cup Finals, the European Championships, the Aachen Grand Prix, Olympic silver, twice Olympic team gold, twice European team gold and team gold at the WC. We are talking about the famous Heureka Z-family (Holsteiner lineage 8145). From his first crop Amiro Z produced only five foals. Two of these finished among the best ten in the Z-foal championship. Amiro Z has an impressive canter with a lot of quality and scope.
