The GridNaut project was to test and see if it was possible for us to run our very own second life simulator from your own ordinary pcs for free by using open simulator, after 3 days worth of work we finally managed to open up the sims so they can be accessed by anyone who has an account with us.
Even tho not all things are implemented into the open source simulators it is defenatelly an alternative when it comes to pricing, Free vs $295 Dollars a month + $1500 Setup fee, tho my group will not be migrating into our own grid, even tho it's nice to have 6 sims to ourselves you literally start with nothing in your inventory and of course people have to download the viewer and login to it can't tp into open sims from sl yet.

I would like to make a correction to an error Gravity made, I wasn't hosting it on my laptop at the time, it was on my desktop and i had transfered it over from my laptop because i was running it on my laptop earlyer because i was having issues with my router. But i got a new one and put it on my desktop instead because its more powerful. Just thought i'd make that small correction.
