It is very hard to hear the horns and winds playing the theme from the violin section and now that it's heard from the audience it is just amazing.

This elemental, earthy and instinctive performance is exactly what Sibelius wanted. These young musicians, guided by an obviously wise conductor, should be proud of themselves. Five stars out of five.

Sibelius Symphony No. 5 is one of my favourite pieces of music and I've listened to many versions and I have to say this is really good, I really enjoyed it.

@garfreed it sounds just like the george prete record I have with the new philharmonia the bass on the record sounds a liitle boomy at 1:19 but not here [ I always thought that was the best version ] .
