This is my first video, so be nice!

Joe Strummer is my hero, so I thought I'd do a slideshow of him.....sorry I couldn't change the speed. You'll have to pause it at the beginning to read it. Enjoy!

  • nice homage. I was so into the clash from their formation years till the end. I wore out London Calling and Sandinista. Their music, besides great to listen to, caused me to examine the politics of the world at an earlier age than most. I saw them warm up the who at rich stadium early 80's. Joe was 5 feet in front of me. He sang like it was his last breath. Played only 45 minutes. Thanks for posting

  • You lucky duck, I would've loved to see him live! Unfortunately, I dicovered his music AFTER he died....

  • I saw Joe in NYC in Oct. 2001, about five weeks after 9-11. He opened with this song, saying simply, "This is for our friends in New York." A moment I shall never forget. I will never forget Joe, either. I'm glad to say my seventeen year old son and his friend are huge fans of Joe and The Clash. Thanks so much for posting this nice tribute.
