@beastchicky To me, Series 2 Reconciliation is the end. Bold dying was heartbreaking and losing Badger earlier on was really sad but Fox's words to Ranger and Charmer for the future managed to offer a happy ending. Should have been left there, or at least made series 3 at the level of maturity series 1 and 2 were at.

The assumption seems to be that Friendly did what Bold did, but didn't risk leaving the park completely but took a new territory for himself. Who knows, he could have joined up with the remaining blue foxes. In the book he does indeed mate with one of Ranger's relatives. Perhaps that is why Friendly isn't around to take over, but it is still messed up that Friendly only appears once and never mentioned again.
