From the Archives: The TC-30 was C-Therm's (formerly Mathis Instruments) second generation of thermal conductivity instrumentation which was eventually replaced with the TCi's modified transient plane source technique.

The TC-30 could test solids, liquids, powders and pastes across a thermal conductivity range from 0 to 10W/mK and a temperature range from -15 to 50 deg C. With the introduction of the C-Therm TCi Thermal Conductivity Analyzer (www.ctherm.com/TCi) capabilities of the non-destructive testing were signifcantly expanded to a thermal conductivity range of 0 to 100 W/mK and a temperature range of -50 to 200 deg C. The TCi also eliminated the need for user-calibration as the sensor's are factory-calibrated and fully "plug & play".
