'On an Island' from the album of the same name by David Gilmour (vocals and guitar of Pink Floyd)
this was originally released in March 2006 with collaboration of his wife Polly Samson.
This song struck me as some that should be done on Ukulele.
BUT I needed to add some PINK FLOYD to the mix I play also play the Fretless Bass and the Lead Guitar on this, this is best listened to using headphones or better than the average computer speakers (and forget it if off a laptop - it IS FLOYD - come on you need GREAT SPEAKERS for Floyd please consider the same for me in this one instance)!.
Yes it is a real departure from my typical genre.
I hope you like it. Thanks for watching.

Great rendition, you are an acomplished musician! And I think all styles fit to your playing.

thanks for the comment. i find as i learn more stringed instruments i play the next one better. BUT my true instrument love will be the Ukulele. Not the first. but it is the BEST. (funny I tell my wife that too! :)

i will agree, as with all Gilmour i find i need to re-listen before i really appreciate it.
but this song stuck in in my head the first time.
i will say "take a deep breath" on the album will never be a favorite of mine. Peace and keep playing.

I took your advice and listened through headphones, sounds great!

Thank you, I listen to most of the stuff with headphones. Most compute speakers miss the lows.
