Japanese high school girls practicing Kyudo "way of the bow" archery. These girls are members of a local high school Kyudo club in Shizuoka City, Japan.
One of the purposes of Kyudo archery is to help the archer clear the mind of worldly distractions. The precise moves and extraordinary discipline required to master the Japanese bow are thought to lead one down a path of discovery not easily traversed amidst the clutter and tangle of life's myriad dramas and events. It has been said of Kyudo that the sound of a precisely placed arrow puncturing the paper target should awaked the archer from the dream which is life.
if i only had this in highschool, i wouldve joined this instantly.
