This is actually Sam Mangwana's first recorded composition with OKJ.

In the first part of the song, we hear Sam singing with Michèl Boyibanda and Lola Chécain, joined in the chorus by Josky Kiambukuta when Sam takes the solo.

Lola also plays percussion in the latter part of the song.

  • Ah...kitoko mingi

  • samuel moreno as sam mangwana was known in the 60s when he was with african fiesta which later became afriza(tabu ley),vox africa of jeannot bombenga, festival des maquisards with dalienst ntesa, before he joined franco in ok jazz in the early 70s.

  • Where was Sam before he joined TP OK Jazz? He certainly had a great distinctive voice that never quite until much much later. Lola was also great but I have never had him on solo. However, he composed a few great numbers.

  • Hey, this is wonderful!! I've been looking for this song for the longest time. Thanks Mr. Siddikh. There must be more where this has come from. Keep loading brother.
