  • @CristoesDMT Well are you looking for Progressive metal? If so then I don't understand how these are crap bands.

  • @CristoesDMT Screw that DTKeys....Oddly enough, many 12-18 year olds are listening to crap, not this. That's not a slam against their age, most just aren't aware that there is more to music. My kids are 10, 16, and 18 (all play more than one instrument) and they know the difference. First song my daughter learned all the lyrics to?---Believe it or not, "Metropolis". I still hear her singing "As a chi-uld, I thought I could...". Yeah, when she sang it, child was 2 syllables.

  • @Keyboredom That's awesome!!

  • listen Spastic Ink, they are a really impressive progressive band!!

Well i personally know 6 persons that are 29 that are Listening to this music + myself

mmh so you might be wrong

  • @L1ving3legy If you haven't already you should check out "Solution .45" There are a pretty heavy progressive metal band with both death vocals and clean vocals.

  • How about : Kamelot, Evergrey, Symphony X, Pyramaze, Fates Warning, Redemption, Tomorrow's Eve, Lalu, Katatonia and Serenity. Another great, not so well known, band is MadSword. Their 2nd CD "The Global Village" is a rare gem of a master piece. Their first CD "Evolution" is impossible to find. I only have it because I connected with the bass player online and he was nice enough to email me the songs. Search youtube for "Madsword time in the ice" for a great song

  • @L1ving3legy I side with him a bit too...I do admit, there is some amazing music in those bands....simply amazing...The way you feel about singing is the way I feel about "growl/scream". I do agree there are many prog metal vocalists that sound like they hopped right off the soundtrack of an 80's film during the closing credits. However, I also feel that, as Brian Posehn put it, "Cookie Monster vocals or yell like a wookie-Metal by Numbers Cookie, Cookie, Cookie"--- just different tastes.
