she didn't lip sync. pretty sure we would know by now if she did...this was so amazing i live in utah and our opening ceremonies were the best. HANDS DOWN. i wish i could have been to the actual ceremonies. but instead i got to watch them live on tv. but it's all good.

LeAnn Rimes is a great singer, we all know it. it doesn't matter if she lip sync'd this one... it's 4 minutes in front of 4 billion people. I would've done it, so would whitney, so would mariah. you just can't control how things sound in an area that big...

i know i'm late to the party on this one, but it's clear to me she is NOT lip-syncing, you can tell when someone is actually singing just by watching how they breathe and their stance when they stand. she is actually singing. of course there will be a difference between this performance and the one on the cd, since that was recorded in a studio.

that being said... i've always loved this song, it's always had a special meaning for me, in finding the light in the darkness, no matter how bad

you can only imagine how many kids are apart of this. No matter what happens, we will rise above it. Thats what make me love America. Plus, if there is a threat in the future we would not be able to handle, The United States would fight and end it together. What a grand flag im apart of! Thanks for the song. its amazing!

@yoda654371 this opening ceremony was very good indeed, but I also loved the Altanta opening with Celine Dion. Also check out Delta Goodrem with the song Together we are one. She opened the Commonwealth Games in Australia.
