when I came back from Africa in July, I hated hearing any commercials, I wanted to hear live music or chioce music. I loved singing with the women and exchanging songs and knowing some of the same songs. some of the arrangements reminded me of the old shaped note gospel songs from the early 1900s.

I was recently in Central Africa. I thought men were serendaing me every morning - then I heard as they walk down the road to work at sunrise, they great each other with song and I could hear it from my bedroom window - I miss the sound of "call and respond" - the Afrikan people are truly beautiful
