Mikhail Koklyaev is everything a strongman should be during, and out of competition. He doesn't convey this insecure, false pretense of toughness you see amongst some of the other competitors. He's always smiling, joking around and is very amiable and personable. And another thing I can't get over about him, is that when he lifts, he is so calm. His face doesn't make all these weird contortion you see so often. That is the personifaction of confidence. He is a great role model!

If there were style points awarded in strongman competition, he'd get them all.

@PhiskerHangers I totally agree, he reminds me of Jón Páll Sigmarsson.
(Actually, he has visited Jón Páll's grave, so he knows who Jón Páll was and he must have been inspired by Jón Páll, because Koklyaev is a lot like Jón Páll... was... before he died :'( R.I.P)
Koklyaev, don't die like Jón Páll sadly did, we can't lose another great strongman.

WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT DRUGS? the dedication and talent involved in this athlete's career far outweigh any perceived immorality involved in using supplements--and all supplements are equally moral or immoral, whether it's whey or hormones. "clean" or not, athletes of this caliber ARE good role models, especially when they have as much character and sportsmanship as koklyaev (and most other strongmen for that matter).

as you can see, lots of russian and ukrainian are more calm and don't share the wictory so "loud". Mikhail is a great man, there are a few of such outstanding people.
