Hi Anne, interesting how all your demonstrating is the 'so called' Bicep Curl. If your observed the way your performing a bicep Curl, you are statically bracing your anterior deltoid. If you withdrew your elbow you would engage your triceps, posterior delts, upper traps as well as improve the movement of the bicep and stability of your shoulder, Greg
