JFK represented a serious block to continuing war activities in "alignment" of Asia vs. Communist influence....JFK began to have significant gains in detente with the Soviets (then regarded as a serious enemy), recognized their sacrifice in WW2, and blocked Allen Dulles' attempts at forcing a covert war against them. A near nuclear exchange in 61 frightened many people within the Administration, and then war became "proxy conflicts" & undeclared.

if you make note, CIA Director John McCone's name is on the memorandum...at some point during the HCSA, he was replaced with George H.W. Bush and the "cooperation" of the CIA in the Commissions investigation then stopped.

What I make of the whole thing so far is that the anti-commie rhetoric justifying Vietnam was to take out a good guy to further oil interests whilst enabling and financing the spread of communism worldwide. Look at what we got: GobalCommunism run by the usual Fascists. What initiated the rise of the petro-e-con-on-money? The Rockefellars in the late 1800's early 1900s.
