I absolutely love Arlo Guthrie...have been listening to him since I was just a kid...in all these years, through all the miles, he is still making wonderful music and passing it on through generations of family & friends. I adore your version of this song....your playing is just beautiful! Thanks for another gem.

Arlo looks really cool on TY.. I remember playing Alice's Restaurant -(massacree).. To death.. I still have the vinyl. Great story, great song, great song writer..

If I dare say: it sounds even better than Arlo's version, but that is probably do to his accent that sometimes takes the overhand in some songs.

He, I am a fan of Arlo; more so of Steve Goodman, well, I'm a fan of almost everyone who does guitar picking.

This is a nice version of the song.

Love it...I dont normally like 'gospel' type songs but this has a 'Southern America' feel to it thats really good to listen to. Anyway...why should God have all the good music? Ha! Very well played Mike really enjoy listening to you play it inspires me to blow the dust of my guitar and have a go. Can't say I've ever heard this one before, but then I probably haven't heard a lot of Arlo's songs. The one's I've heard I like, though, and this is no exception! I can see you were have a little difficulty with it, but it was a good attempt!
