@billybassman21 Yeah, those are both good units. I was using the Bel V8(955) before, good range also. Just too many false alarms. It drove me crazy when I drive in NYC......The only problem of RD is it can't save you from laser. I saw several times the cop was pointing at me at closed distance(300 ft or so) and my detector was silent. I guess it was because the distance is closed and the bream from laser gun is kinda narrow. So that's why i got jammer on my car recently.

@billybassman21 Yeah, the cop gave him the signal when he passed him and I guess he saw the cop was pulling out right after he passed. And nobody was faster than him, So I guess he knew what happen and what he should do. LOL

@bmh1234567 I have the 9500ix now, but used to use the Bel-RX65, which is also a good detector. Saved my ass from many tickets. Even got out of one by telling the cop he wasn't throwing radar and couldn't have known my speed. He wasn't too happy and tried to tell me it was broke and was getting a ticket, but ended up letting me go with a warning. lol
I watched your video. Why did the guy pull over if the cop wasn't behind him? Did the cop just signal him to pull over when he passed?

@billybassman21 You could take a look at my video on youtube. It is interesting, showing the 9500ix did a good job against the K band and saved me a ticket.

@billybassman21 Yup, the good detector will only alert when the real threat comes out especially during the night drive. We have to say Redline is a good radar signal receiver since the sensitivity is really wonderful. But you couldnt tell which signal is false and which one is not. Meanwhile, if you keep the POP on your 9500ix off and only leave the K Ka and X on( sometimes I drive in Ohio and the patrol do use X), the 9500ix should response fast enough for you to slow down.

@bmh1234567 I agree. At the end of the day both will alert you in time to show down. A more sensitive detector will just pick up more false alerts and there is no GPS on the Redline. I like peace and quiet when I drive so the GPS features on the 9500ix makes it the winner in my book.

@swimmies10 hey my friend. I bought a redline 1 year after I got the 9500ix. Took several road trip. 9500ix is not much slower than redline. And it is much quieter in most of the time. So I returned the redline and still keep the 9500ix LOL

Have you had any other encounters with both running, the 9500ix didn't alert too much later, and has the gps feature

Radar Roy's site sells the Redline for $459 with the radarroy discount code plus overnight shipping for free. Just picked one up, returning 9500ix to Best Buy tomorrow ;)
The 9500ix is noticeably slower. It does not alert to < 1 sec radar signals, where the Redline (while no where as responsive as the V1 or STI-r) will alert to signals around .5 sec

Yup. It's hard too see in the video, but it's in spec mode. I'm addicted to spec now :)
