why does everyone hate brett ratner? sure he's not nearly as good as QT or PTA or Scorsese, but Rush Hour was my fav movie when i was like 10. I don't really watch it now, but that should count for something

Sadly Hollywood is all about money now a days. A film for 4 million dollars is considered indie now. I feel once your in the business and have money backed up in your films your films can look professional. Never give up on your dream if you see some shit director who makes a movie that has a lot money in it and sucks still or a college student who is born in a rich family and has money and equipment to make his films look good. You just aren't fortunate yet and i said YET! Don't give up

Um there is such a thing as people who come from a lower middle class family that don't make hardly any money especially in a time where theres a horrible economy. Don't give me this, credit card and laying your life. If you don't have money, you don't have money. People who grew up in a wealthy family can get into expensive film schools and can get all the good equipment cause of the wealth they were lucky to have, that is not the case.
