Im off work for 2 weeks, decided to make a vid of the OS .18TZ versus the TRX 3.3 ...stock, and modified.
Both running the stock revo pipe with stinger bored. Just to give an idea on how they compare, they both have their advantage depending the condition... trx 3.3 could use lower gearing and go as fast as the TZ. Just less low end punch as you can see... :)

  • Very nice revo and video! I really like how the .18tz responds, but the 3.3 is not slow either. Just wondering if you are still running much? Havent seen many r/c video's from you lately. I really enjoy all your video's, thanks for posting.

  • @CumminsDriver635 Thank you! been a while i havent run, but i plan to do some videos next summer :)

  • Hi there nice vid cld you tell me the best gearing to acc quicker or wheelie plz

  • @xXChapperz1Xx With the 3.3? use the stock gearing, get a wing mount and a wing, with badland tires, adjust your suspension to an higher ride height, with all that it should wheelie more easily. mine could wheelie with low ride height, even all stock.

  • Yeah, a lot of trial and error and $ lol but had some great help from my friend at ABmods, wich is a nitro rc engine company.... you dont need to gear it to go slower, with the right mod it should have as much torque if not more and a better mid to top end. Using the right tuned pipe also help :) You need to know what are the timing , if you dont know that you will not be able to properly mod an engine. :)

  • Do u modify this like large 2 strokes? Shave piston and deck the block? Just curious

  • @Jtaullie77 No, i dont want to increase timing on all port, or i change them differently one to another :) I do not shave the piston either, i change the height of the port on the sleeve, and the crank window. :)

  • @xXChapperz1Xx you can tighten your slipper clutch and with a good tune u can pull wheelies like crazy

  • Intake or exhaust ports? I run an rb 523 but don't wanna ruin it.. Was thinking of expirementing on my old stock 3.3... I thought if shortened the exhaust and went up on the spur gear this would give u a higher rpm and wider power range, or no? I've only done some port mods to V6 2 strokes... Nothing this small. U seem very experienced with these small motors. Must have taken a lot of trial and error eh? Thanks for any tips and keep the awesome vids coming!!

  • @andrseeen Thx! bothj are not modified to their maximumin that video, for the trx i altred the the timing a little to get some more mid to top end power. Same for the OS .18TZ. Later i updated the mod on the .18TZ and it was a beast! :)

stock 44mph, the mod in this vid 46-47mph and the last mod 50mph all on the same gearing for teh .18TZ :)
