A tribute to the NHRA's fallen drag racers whom are dearly missed. Blaine Johnson passed away in a qualifying session at Indianapolis on September of 1996. Darrell Russell died in an accident in eliminations at St. Louis in June of 2004. Eric Medlen passed away during a test session in Gainsville in March of 2007. And Scott Kalitta died during qualifying at Englishtown in June of 2008. May the good Lord take care of them and may we never forget them. Enjoy.

Song: Better Days - Goo Goo Dolls

  • the picture at 1:42 is of Scott holding a picture or Darrell. I want to thank the creator of this video it is put together well.

  • @leehaskle Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was a little choked up after I finished this making this tribute. They were all great racers that left too soon. The vid is actually alot better with the song "Better Days" by the Goo Goo Dolls as it was edited to the tune.

  • Beautiful video, Huge NHRA fan, Miss them all very much

  • Okay, Joe Amato is the car owner in that picture, that pic was taken to honor the racer to his right, Darrell Russell.

  • Question: Where do you see Joe Amato in this, unless you see him as Scott Kalitta's opponent, the fourth person presented here is Blaine Johnson.

  • Eric Medlen, Scott Kalitta, Darrell Russell, Blaine Johnson. Goodbye, and we'll see you on the other side. R.I.P.
