Yes indeed! Eddie could play that trumpet. I was first introduced to him on Mwandishi with Herbie's Sextant. Saw 'em live and boy....did he get down. Was glad to see him do some solo work, Wasn't this his first solo project? Killer...my favorite.

Eddie Henderson is one great jazz funk inovator. Anyone who's listened to his music now realize where Chuck Mangione and Herb Alpert got their solo inspirations.You can almost feel his influence. Fantastic post.
