@daledeloy I worked at Montgomery Wards years ago, "Sell the EXTENDED PROTECTION, SELL THE EXTENDED PROTECTION" every manager would stress that like every 5 minutes When you couldn't they would get mad and say you weren't applying yourself or trying hard enough one day a manger had to work the register. SHE GOT TURNED DOWN ON THAT DAMN EXTENDED PROTECTION BY ALL THE CUSTOMERS!! I turned to her and said "WOW! so that how you do it!"
She wrote me up for "BAD ATTITUDE" i quit.

@daledeloy Oh yeah I used to work at Quears in the lawn and garden department. There is hell to pay for not getting credit apps and PA's. Managers play favorites towards those who get credit apps and PA's.

@daledeloy I guess card issues is a policy with the employee's at sears but credit card fruad is what sears issues and sears is in big trouble repetition style. Common thing since the old catolog. I am that of a Federal Emplyee and I will never shop at sears again. I will soon do the pocket petty not a unemployed little or nothing Sears employee. Sears no more, I will never see a Sears FDIC policy ever signed, that of spain I am more known as a founder of USA and Federal Policy. Think again

@toes8807 -- I've been a Sears cashier for a month, all I hear every day is "credit apps, credit apps!" Not sure about your store but my working hours and my job all depend on the amount of credit cards I sell to people. That's wrong - we're in a goddamn recession. People either can't or don't want credit cards and that shouldn't burden me. I don't have a "salesman" personality so pushing people to open credit cards is difficult for me. None of this was told to be during my interview.
