Trip to Port Townsend, Washington

My trip to Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula, Washington.
Creepy old hotel. Ceepy dark woods with some obscure tall building hidden away back in the trees - what IS that building? Looks like the house for a cable car - but no cable and no car. Very mysterious. Beautiful place. Mystery Bay on Marrowstone Island. Check out the dilapidated cabin overgown with moss - my dream home...
Anyway, I got the job and I move down there in a few weeks.

The building to which you refer is the one at the end of the video? If so it is located in Fort Townsend State Park. The building was part of a marine base that was there during WW2. You could have driven up to it and gone inside. It was part of the munitions division and if I remember correctly, it was used to defuse explosives, hence its remote location.

When visiting Port Townsend, one must exit the vehicle once in a while and read the historical placards to learn what history has to offer.
