This is an incubator designed for reptile eggs. Be sure to do plenty research before letting your reptiles do the horizontal hula.

Auston bred snakes, namely Diamond x Jungle x Jag, and and Irian Jaya. The Jag clutch had 15 eggs, and he got 10 jags and 5 sibs. He had 2 sets of twins, and 2 eggs that didn't hatch. One of the failed eggs had triplets in it that depleted the yolk before full development. He only got one good egg from the IJ clutch this year, but it hatched out just fine.

  • Great video. I wanted to know about the heat cable. How long and what kind?

  • Auston had a 23' Zoo Med heat cable lying around so we used that. Anything thats in the neighborhood of 50 watts should work just fine. There are a ton to choose from. In fact there are some that are used to melt ice/snow off of roofs that would work great too.

  • Excellent tutorial video! What kind of reptiles are you breeding with that?

  • My buddy Auston bred snakes, namely Diamond x Jungle x Jag, and and Irian Jaya. The Jag clutch had 15 eggs, and he got 10 jags and 5 sibs. I think he had 2 sets of twins, and 2 eggs that didn't hatch. One of the failed eggs had triplets in it that depleted the yolk before full devolopment. He only got one good egg from the IJ clutch this year, but it hatched out just fine.

  • There has been some debate on the placement of the heat probe. We will do some testing and report the findings on the forums listed in the description. Also there will be a detailed description about why we designed the incubator the way we did, so if your interested in building this incubator I would suggest reading some of the discussions in the forums.

  • hey let me ask you, isn't dangerous to run the 2 fans 24/7 for the time that the eggs will need to hatch? (56-60 days!) thanks and great video!!!
