  • @lovepatternsdotco I hear it's closed. Not sure. I moved to Houston a few years ago and we have a wonderful doll hospital here. Do a google search. Maybe you can find someone out on Long Island or NJ. Good luck!

  • what a talent ,how many people love there job and give a lot of love back to old friends we cared for and still do once restoration has finished ,a rare talent , and will be missed , will anyone take up his chalenge and continue this dying art

  • i brought my girlfriend's favorite stuffed animal (a dog) to the NY Doll Hospital about 4 years ago and I can attest that Irving was a very kind and funny man. He also did an amazing job.

I'll never forget the message he left on my phone when the job was done saying "ok, you're little patient said he's ready to come home now.." heh

Rest in Peace Mr. Chase. God Bless.

  • Irving Chase died on April 24th, 2009. Irving was a huge bank of information about all kinds of dolls: antique and new, domestic and foreign. I'll bet more information slipped Irving's memory than most "doll experts" will ever know. Irving's passing heralds the end of an era. He was just so darned New York, right down to his classic NY sense of humor. His repair work was amazing - his jokes were free. Irving is the only person to whom I entrusted antique family heirlooms. RIP Irving.
