November 21-25, 2010: Continuing on with our road trip to Mexico..
After crossing the border, we meet up with my brother in law, Jorge and almost immediately hit a toll and Federales police check point..
I secretly record each check point we're stopped at in the event we are extorted for money (which sadly happens quite often)..
I record a bit of the scenery along the way as well as a passing Mexican Army convoy heading north..
Despite the news, we saw no road side gangs and no drug war violence..

  • I miss going to Mexico ):

  • @DanGuerrer0 I loved doing the road trip but it is getting dangerous and we're not planning another road trip for a while :-/

  • Yeah... Its a shame what happens in Mexico, a lot of corruption, a lot of danger in the roads, several people has been molested, kidnapped, robbed and sometimes their cars has been taken from them, I live in Mexico and sucks, live in Tamaulipas and everyday I am really concern about my security and my family... I wish to live in the states and try to live peaceful...

  • @jalcom I love coming to Mexico every 6 months on average and hate the drug wars have given the country such a bad rap..

Hopefully someday, things will get much better.

  • In actuality, when you get 50 miles south of the border and outside the border cities, it's really not that bad!

  • @Brian211978 I would concur with this from what I saw..
