This US teacher was successfully sued by a student for calling creationism "superstitious nonsense". But it is superstitious nonsense.

  • Religion is a lifestyle choice. Making fun of someone for something they choise to do is absolutely fine. It's not like racism or homophobia where the victim of abuse didn't chose to be the way they are.

  • you are contradicting your on illusion

  • looks like you forgot your religion mate dose it not say forgive those who do wrong, look s like you forgot to forgive ass, and that excatly what i mean every thing is so empty nowa days, "oh iam a riligiuos and i love my religion so much am gonna sue you, but i will not take time to follow it like i must becuse iam on a ego tirp or want money wake up

  • I thought that the teacher was acquitted - or was that another case?

Is the whole teaching establishment telling the truth about creationism (and paying the penalty of being dragged through the courts by some precious little monster that wants to get his/her own back for whatever reason)?

  • smart teacher and fucked up kid...that kid is just pimping for a job on Fox

  • In other news, man arrested for stated, ridiculous, "Santa Claus is not real."

The arresting officer had this to say. "How can you say Santa Claus is not real? I believe in him, therefore he is real. How can you explain presents under the tree any other way, exactly!"

  • Never, ever try to tell a religious person the truth.

    cheers

  • its more than "superstitious nonsense,"...its dim-witted fucktardery!

  • How was it a violation of freedom of speech? If anything, the teacher violated the student's right to not be persecuted for his religious belief. And why would a history teacher be talking about evolution? He needs to teach what the subject and not add in his own beliefs.

  • Sounds like the ruling was a violation of freedom of speech to me.
