Can someone out there lend a sympathetic ear?
Is there anyone to trust at all?
I never thought that I could stand so close to the light
And never see the coming fall
Life and unforgiving
It's beaten me to blood so far
It's 3am and I'm so far from finding rest
Cuz I can't sleep my mind off her

Is there anybody listening?
Would you cry over my bones?
Is there anybody listening
I'd rather die than feel right now

I am out there like a soldier in the night
Standing guard over these parts
I can't defend against the blitzkrieg that rains down
and lays to waste my brittle heart

Is there anybody listening?
Would you cry over my bones?
Is there anybody listening
I'd rather die than feel right now

Can someone out there lend a sympathetic ear
And tell me where along I fell?
I never thought that I could stand so close to heaven
And not escape the fire of hell

Is there anybody listening?
Would you cry over my bones?
Is there anybody listening
I'd rather die than feel right now

  • "I can't defend against the blitzkrieg that rains down"

    could be

"I can't defend against the blinding blitzkrieg"

and instead of "fire of hell" "flames of hell"

just ideas but I thought it was awesome, you are probably done but ya awesome!

  • Some of the lyrics remind me of your brothers song Oscar Cotton although i think the subject matter is a little different.

  • What you have for lyrics written down always lets me appreciate music when i actually have the lyrics in front of my face. No matter how many times i hear a song i still manage to forget or misinterpret a line here or there.
