I am making a series of videos deconstructing the game design aspects of other games, starting with World of Goo. On the Wolfire Blog. I hope you like it! You can see the second video in this series (Knytt Stories), here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpnGL3ggGFk&fmt=22

Check out our blog at http://blog.wolfire.com/ to see more videos like this when they are done, and to see Kyle Gabler's response to this one! Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss them!

You can get the demo for World of Goo at http://www.2dboy.com/games.php

    ...please?

(seing the same 4 game design tours gets tiresome after seeing them 400 times)

  • You've got a knack for finding nuances (ones that I would never notice), which most certainly will translate into quality game creation.

Best of luck in your indie projects. I'll be following your progress.

  • my favriote level is Upper Shaft. Goos used:Common,Ivy,Time Bugs,Fuse and BombShaft.

  • Looks like thats the icing on the cake.

World of Goo and OverGrowth are my favorite indy games.

  • @virgildog1950 its amazing!

  • Wow! This looks like a really cool game!

  • I think another reason for the blurry visuals is that due to the hurried gameplay and constantly-moving goo, they wanted to keep the player's focus on the goo, and not get too distracted by scenery.

  • Awsome design tour, I hope you dont mind me adding this video in my blog.

  • Yeah, I bet you could have a field day analyzing this game. :P

  • "you have to explode the head" was an obvious reference to "You have to burn the rope"
