  • This is NOT a reboot.

    The series is continuing on.

Here is why. Shinji, Asuka, and all the others were given a second chance to live life after third impact. Everything has reset, but slight changes have ocured in the charcters we all know.

    Shinji- more of a man

Asuka- delt with her pain of the loss of her mother

    Rei- More open to others

Misato- More of a motherly figure than before

In third impact, durring the tv last two episodes and in end of eva, these were the things they hated about..

  • @Eerie0Innocence BLU-RAY HIGH DEFINITION WITH SURROUND SOUND SYSTEMMMMM!!!!!

3rd impact has never been so impactful.

  • @HaloandDBZFan345 @lazyfigninja The J.J. Abrams Star Wars movie was a reboot, but still tied in to the original series... I think that's the kind of relation this theory is putting on the movies to the original series.

@RimaTouya180 He was saying that these movies are sort of a continuation of the series. But kind of an alternate reality where they were given a second chance. Not that there were more episodes of the TV series being made.

  • @ffffleet holy shit

    HOLY SHIT

    THAT MAKES SENSE OH WOW

  • Ayanami's smile was so awesome. It was like contagious. Whenever she smiled, I smiled even harder. Creepy.

  • @Fool1045

I'm 100% sure that this is a remake, nowhere in any of the special features or extras that come with the special editions does it even hint that this is a continuation rather than a remake. I think they may just be making a lot of references to the original series and movies.

  • ... Why do I keep hearing "bitches and hoes...?"

  • wtf is the name of the soundtrack!?

  • @ffffleet .... What?.... This is a complete remake....

  • I love the graphics. Evangelion is out of this world.

  • @CrimsoNShadovv Nah man it's not a reboot. If you watch the second film around the time that Shinji's dad is in space you see a shot of the moon with a streak of "blood." This streak is indicative of the giant Rei whose head fell off and squirted blood from her neck in the movie "End of Evangelion." When you do watch that space scene in Evangelion 2.22 you can ask yourself "how else could that 'blood' have gotten there?" These bitches got their second chance.

  • It is partially a sequel. Lots of undertones with nagisa and the opening scenes of 1.11 and the fact the 3rd movie is redo. Look closely. And you'll see it COULD be a sequel.
