Lara was the best of his generation. He was a class apart from the rest. For sheer batting talent, I would put Lara ahead of ponting, Inzimam and Tendulkar. They are all second to Brian Lara. Tendulkar has more records because he played more test matches and in one dayers more overs an opener. For match winning capabilities, Inzimam and Steve Waugh might be just there or better.

oh!! class is shown in every movement of his blade..... he is the greatest for those who can see it!...there is no need to compare him with others....statistic may mean something to analyze other's batting....it's rather unjust to analyze his batting grace with statistics....If u find some other is the greatest..then why don't u see the battting clipse of that batsman and give your precious opinion on that... ha ha ha!....I think it tells all.

@YOURBHAIJAAN playing more test matches is not an excuse to set lara in front of Sachin, because you need consistency of a very large margin and less amount of injury to achieve that feat. Playing more test matches is a feat. Not an excuse to have more runs on the board. Cricket is mostly a team effort so attributnig a win to a single player is unfair.

i fully agree with you....Inzi and Steve Waugh were such a match winners....they were real fighters...Suchin has his own class but i agree Lara was much better than others...

please donot compare sachin and lara to legend INZAMAM UL HAQ,inzy is a match winner not a selfish batsman like sachin.all sachin does get hundards thats all.look at those stats i posted.INZY IS THE BEST
