@mdmb5 ...earlier point on Gibson once I setup some criteria. The reason why he ranked so low is because in my mind Wade reacted on the play and got caught - he didnt have much of a chance. Gibson caught him by surprise. Howard also ranks low cause he's already pretty close to the rim. It was actually a tie between Wade and Smith for me, cause Wade gets a lot of points for traffic, but i had to edge Smith out to number 1. Both got good points on the nasty factor.

@pedrothe5th Ok - here's my list. Not I appreciate that any list of dunks could be cut up any of many ways given what that reviewer / judge is looking for or that impressed them. In other words, critiria matters. I used this criteria: Defender presence / challenge Nasty Impact Height / Leap Traffic / Setup Using this, my ranking is: 1. JR Smith 2. Wade 3. Bryant, Westbrook, Durant 6. Stucky 7. Howard, Griffin 9. James, Gibson Interesting how I disagree with my earlier point...

@pedrothe5th @ I hear you about the height thing. Yes that is a factor (and please dont call me an idiot, I just have a difference of opinion. We can respectably disagrees, yes?). My issue wit LeBron's dunk is that it was not a true facial. I'll go watch it again - he dunked on two guys but they werent up there with him directly challening him. And I maintain that JR Smith's dunk was without question the dunk of the year.

@mdmb5 there is no way in hell that you can actually say that gibson over wade was better than wade over perkins, its beyond logic for an idiot like you to say that. Let give you something gibson 6'9 dunking over wade 6'4 not impressive if a taller guy dunks on a shorter guy but yet i'll admit it was nice. Now on the other hand wade 6'4 on perkins 7'0 come on dude like you are not a real wade fan if you think gibson on wade was better than wade on perkins. Lastly lebron dunked on 2 suns players.

This list is allllll wrong. So much I disagree with! Wade's dunk is in no way better than when Taj dunked on him. I like Wade but it wasn't. I also like Durant but his wasn't number one in my opinion. LeBron's dunk shouldn't have made the list but I get it yada yada no list is complete without him right? The dunk of the year was no question JR Smith's.
