In retrospect (hindsight is always 20/20), a much better solution to Tony's concerns would be to either field an Indy Lights team exclusively for USAC graduates (like Tony Stewart & Jeff Gordon), or create a new feeder series specifically to transition a USAC driver from sprints and midgets to an IndyCar.
I guess that wasn't really at the core of his displeasure with CART...
