  • @eaglerock999 Tony - That is TERRIFIC!!!! So happy that you are doing so well. How is the Physical Therapy part. I found that a bit difficult but did it gamely. GOOD LUCK!!! and I look forward to your videos.

  • Hi Grace, Thanks,I'm home now day 5,they discharged me day 2 because I was doing very well.So glad I had it done,I am making small movies at home to encourage people... see my channel,

I am much more mobile than I thought I would be so soon, and the operation was a piece of cake I wouldn't hesitate to have my left knee done when it needs it.

I'm keeping moving,as you say small exercise is more tiring than normal.

good luck with your pain ,I hope you can live with it.

  • Tony - the music is elegaic, but operation was NOT as hard as people told me it would be. I did NOT take any strong pain meds because I hate being woozy. So if you don't mind being a bit out-of-it, pain meds will be helpful particularly in early days of physical therapy. Making the video was a great distraction. As I wrote above PT is the most difficult time. I have good flexibility because of it though I hate to exercise.

  • @eaglerock999 Hi, GOOD LUCK! My knee 3 years later is stronger structurally, but I have residual pain and stiffness - constantly feels as if an elastic band is wrapped tightly around the knee. I went to the best NYC Hospital and Dr. and problem is either scar tissue or something else. I was going to have it looked at arthroscopically but 2 days before surgery last month I decided that I would live with it for the time being.

Tony - Physical Therapy is the most important part of the recovery.

  • Hi ,very helpful, it was as I imagined ,not exactly a pleasent day out......I'm having a TKR in a weeks time I'm 66 (UK) one thing, the music sounds very mournful ! pity.

    How are you now?

    Regards, Tony UK
