  • @Krandolph17 i have read the books, many times, i meant for people that havent read the books yet etc.

  • I admit, CGI may turn it into something a little less clumsy. Fingers crossed, because this is not a story that deserves a fuck up.

  • "It's not a good-guys-bad-guys story. It's a story where everybody is pursuing their own interests and everybody is following their own code, and it's about those interests and those ethics coming into conflict with each other and just provides a much richer story than the guys in white beating the guys in black."

    Well said.

  • @phsyan agreed

  • I didn't expect Tyrion to look like that....I expected something a bit more "ugly" I think. I must go find and download the episodes...I don't have HBO.

  • also, peter dinklage is the fkn man

  • aww sheeeeeeit it's tommy carcetti as petyr baelish

  • i didn't think it was possible because i love the books so much but this looks pretty damned close to the way i pictured things when i read them; im excited.

  • The age differences between the actors and characters is just something that has to happen. The most obvious reason is that if the actors were under 18, all of the sex scenes involving the younger characters would be removed. And A LOT of those scenes are used to show the struggles the characters go through, especially Dany. And plus, I really wouldn't want to see 9 or 10 year old actors on a show like this.

  • @Eye0fTheStorm

I think this is the only way to do. Like you said, there is so much going on in the books and so much character building/interaction. If they had tried to do a movie series like Lord of the Rings I dont think it would have worked at all, not near enough time in a LONG 3 hour movie to cover one of these books. But with them doing it as a TV series, with 1 hour episodes for a season long (i'm guessing 12 shows?).a much better chance at staying faithful and doing it right!

  • Ugh when the FUCK is Dance with Dragons coming out?!!!??
